Earth Day 2013: The Face of Climate Change

Every year on April 22, more than one billion people take part in Earth Day.  Tomorrow is the 43rd anniversary of Earth Day.  Across the world, individuals and communities, organizations and governments will acknowledge this amazing planet we call home and take action to protect it.

From London to Melbourne, Beijing to Cairo,  Johannesburg to Rio de Janeiro, New York to New Delhi, communities everywhere will voice their concerns for the planet, and take action to protect it.

Each year, Earth Day Network (EDN) chooses a theme for Earth Day, and this year the focus is ‘The Face of Climate Change.’ Climate change can seem like a remote problem for our leaders, but it is impacting real people, animals, and places around the world. Fortunately, a different Face of Climate Change is growing, too: people are stepping up to do something about it.
